Direct Fabrication of III–V Semiconductor Quantum Dots and Quantum Wires by Molecular Beam Epitaxy. creation of distinct surface and interface corrugations on (311)A GaAs during molecular beam epitaxy. The observed optical properties are directly related to the reduced dimensionality of these unique nanostructured semiconductors.

Compressibility of the Interacting Two-Dimensional Electron Gasteractions over kinetic effects. Negative compressibility anomalies are also found near the fractional Hall states at ν = 1/3 and 2/3. These latter features represent thermodynamic signatures of the interacting quasiparticle gases which exist along with the condensed ground state.
