Dynamical Evolution of Planetary Systems and the Significance of Bode’s Lawe integrations are continued to greater lengths, violent interactions again occur. This study suggests that only a geometric (or Bode-type) initial distribution of planetary semimajor axes is likely to yield the present (geometric) spacing of the planets of the solar system.

Where are the Saturnian Trojans?odic proximity of Jupiter. We discuss the results of our numerical study, and consider the possibilities of observational confirmation of our conclusions. There is preliminary evidence for similar stability for the Trojan analogues of the inner planets.

The orbital elements of Janus and Epimetheus have been determined by Synnott et al. (1981) and the orbits are nearly circular with an eccentricity on the order of 0.01.

General Motion of a Triaxial Rigid Body in a Newtonian Force Field. Although the general motion of a rigid body can be split up into the trnslation of its center of mass and the rotation about that point, both are usually coupled and therefore we are faced with a generally non-reducible 6-dimensional problem.
