Large Scale Structural Analysis on Massively Parallel Computersor a range of parallel computers. We present preliminary computational results from a DECmpp computer, showing that we can achieve good price performance when compared to traditional vector supercomputers.

The Look-Ahead Lanczos Process for Large Nonsymmetric Matrices and Related Algorithmsties. We describe a look-ahead variant of the Lanczos process that remedies the problems of the original algorithm. We also discuss related algorithms for the construction of formally orthogonal and biorthogonal polynomials, and for computing inverse triangular factorizations of Hankel and Toeplitz matrices.

A Direct Method for Reordering Eigenvalues in the Generalized Real Schur form of a Regular Matrix Paor analysis of the direct reordering method is presented. Results from numerical experiments on well-conditioned as well as ill-conditioned problems illustrate the stability and the accuracy of the method. Finally, a direct reordering algorithm with controlled backward error is described.
