Raman Spectra of Cadmium Chloride and Cadmium Bromideed, it is possible to examine transition metal ion doped cadmium chloride and bromide crystals for electronic Raman scattering effects and determine low-lying electronic levels. Preliminary measurements on such systems are discussed.
