Point Explosion in Combustible Gas Mixture [39],Let us assume that in an unbounded quiescent gas, in which exothermic chemical reactions are possible, an energy amount E. is released instantaneously along a plane, a straight line or at a point. Then a strong shock wave will start to move through the gas switching on chemical reactions with heat output.

Asymptotic Behaviour of Decaying Detonation Waves,of concentrated energy release in combustible gas mixture. With the time the detonation wave will get weaker under the influence of rarefaction waves overtaking it from behind and can approach the limiting Ch.-J. regime. Let us investigate the laws of its approach to this limit [3,4].
