Transforaminal Endoscopic Lumbar Discectomy for Foraminal Disc Herniation with Ho:Yag Laser,Foraminal disc herniations present the unique surgical challenge for exiting nerve root retraction and decompression. Severe radiating pain arises from impingement of existing nerve root ganglion by foraminal disc herniation. In this chapter, we describe rotate-to-retract technique for endoscopic decompression of foraminal disc herniations.

Transforaminal Endoscopic Lumbar Discectomy for Paramedian Disc Herniation with Ho:Yag Laser,ng than incision surgery. Laser has been used in various medical fields since it was discovered in 1958. The authors describe the method of discectomy using Ho:YAG laser after transforaminal approach in paramedian disc herniation and intend to review literature.
