描述This book offers a comprehensive and complete description of a new scheme to stabilize the power of a laser on a level needed for high precision metrology experiments. The novel aspect of the scheme is sensing power fluctuations via the radiation pressure driven motion they induce on a micro-oscillator mirror. It is shown that the proposed technique can result in higher signals for power fluctuations than what is achieved by a direct power detection, and also that it enables the generation of a strong bright squeezed beam.?.The book starts with the basics of power stabilization and an overview on the current state of art. Then, detailed theoretical calculations are performed, and the advantages of the new scheme are highlighted. Finally, a proof-of-principle experiment is described and its results are analyzed in details. The success of the work presented here paves a way for achieving high power stability in future experiments and is of interest for high precisionmetrology experiments, like gravitational wave detectors, and optomechanical experiments..Nominated as an outstanding PhD thesis by the Gravitational Wave International Committee..

Introduction,and an overview of the state of the art of power stabilization schemes for gravitational wave detectors is presented. In this overview, the limitations of current schemes are discussed and, lastly, the idea of the alternative scheme proposed in this thesis is introduced.

Sensing Laser Power Fluctuations Via an Alternative Observable of the Light Field,d is given. The transfer scheme via radiation pressure is selected as the most promising one and its advantages are highlighted. Additionally, schemes to perform the readout of the power dependent phase/polarization are discussed.

,Power Stabilization Via Radiation Pressure—Experimental Results,sensor for the free running power noise of the transfer beam. A measurement of the optomechanical response of the micro-oscillator was also performed. Finally, the transfer beam power stabilization control loop was enabled, and the power stability performance of the out-of-loop beam was measured for different transfer beam powers.

Marina Trad Neryng frequency of 100 MHz, suggest for the proposed polymorphic implementation a throughput of 400 Mbit/s for DES and 133 for 3DES. When compared with the software implementation of the DES algorithm, a speed up of 200 times can be archived for the kernel computation.
