Laser Metal Deposition of Composites and Functionally Graded Materials,d to produce composite coatings and functionally graded material coatings on other material in order to improve the surface property of such base materials. Some of these studies are presented in this chapter. The properties of these laser deposited composite materials and functionally graded materials are also presented.
