SIPR: A New Framework for Generating Efficient Code for Sparse Matrix Computationsnd-written codes but previously were not considered for compiler-generated codes due to their complexity. We have developed tools that allow the automatic generation of efficient C++ implementations from SIPR, and describe experimental results on the performance of those implementations.

Improving Compiler and Run-Time Support for Irregular Reductions Using Local Writes We investigate the impact of . (node/edge ratio), . (accesses to local data) and . (edge modifications) on their relative performance. .. improves performance by 50–150% compared to using replicated buffers, and can match or exceed gather/scatter for applications with low locality or high adaptivity.

A Spill Code Placement Framework for Code Schedulinger to spill a variable or not, which variable to spill and the places where spill code needs to be added, when a register is needed for a computation but all available registers are in use. The preliminary experimental results show that this new approach produces better object code.
