In-Site Monitoring of Land Subsidence,land subsidence in Shanghai, there was a strong correlation between the land subsidence and the groundwater exploitation. With the construction of modern cities, the correlation between them was weakened gradually. The land subsidence was accelerated because a large number of municipal works and high-rise buildings were constructed in Shanghai.
