Newer Diagnostic Technology for Diagnosis of Keratoconus,and hence even earlier detection of ectasia. However, tomography alone may not be sufficient to rule out cases of early ectasia. The epithelium may mask changes in the corneal stroma and hence the need for imaging the epithelium and the stroma as individual entities for the diagnosis of keratoconus
