Analyzing the EGEE Production Grid Workload: Application to Jobs Submission Optimization,nstantiate the model, detailed statistics are extracted from dense grid activity traces. The model is exploited in a simple job resubmission strategy. It provides quantitative inputs to improve job submission performance and it enables quantifying the impact of faults and outliers on grid operations.

Contention-Aware Scheduling with Task Duplication,ts even more from task duplication. This paper proposes a contention-aware task duplication scheduling algorithm, after investigating how to use task duplication in the contention model. An extensive experimental evaluation demonstrates the significant improvements to the speedup of the produced schedules.
