Combined application of 3D-CFD and high-speed video endoscopy on a turbocharged GDI engine,th turbocharging plays a key role for a further reduction of CO2 emission. A major challenge for these kinds of engines is the reduction of particle number emissions (PN), whereby the injection system is the key component.
