This equipment, developed in the laboratory, has also been experimentally evaluated at pilot scale to remove nitrate ions from potable water and the results of these experiments on extraction and regeneration cycles are presented.

Alternative Routes to Chloromethylation for Preparation of Anion Exchangerssins were prepared based on the chemistry of polyamine epoxy, acrylic epoxy and phenolic epoxy with epichlorohydrin. Samples of strong, weak and mixed basicity with varying characteristics were made for water treatment applications. Pilot plant samples show promising results in laboratory operating data and performance in field trials.
