Interpretation of High-Resolution Polarimetric Radar Target Down-Range Signatures Using Kennaugh’s aoutdoor broadband polarization scattering matrix measurement range. It is demonstrated here that the above thoeries are correct and are applicable to the electromagnetic inverse problem of deriving target classification operators from such complete polarimetric high resolution target down-range signatures.

After this brief review the paper extends the subject to the multiple-channle (polarization) case resulting in the manipulation of vectors, matrices, and higher order tensors.

Inverse Methods Applied to Microwave Target Imagingd, are very revealing. Examples are given of the processing of polarization scattering matrix data. Images obtained at millimetre wavelengths both by radiometry and by holographic methods are illustrated. The relative merits of the various imaging processes are discussed.

A Four-Channel Millimeter-Wave On-Line Imaging Method effect. This means, that only low frequency data have to be processed and the evaluation of the data can be done on-line by a desk-top calculator. As distance information is obtained by additional switching between two adjacent frequencies, two dimensional images can be demonstrated on-line on the screen of a desk-top calculator.

Inverse Methods for Ocean Wave Imaging by SARell understood and is summarised here for both the SAR image and its power spectrum. The inverse problem has only recently been explored and some simple approaches based on linear demodulation and speckle removal are described. These are applied to a number of SEASAT images.
