The Development of Water-powered Machines of China in 10~14th Centuryment, 10~14. century. This paper researches some of water-powered machines which was widely used in ancient China, based on the thorough study into ancient Chinese literatures and documents which recorded and illustrated these machines. The authors reveal the mechanical properties, capabilities and working principles of these machines.
