The problem was first raised by Baker in connection with his well-known work [1] on the solubility of certain diophantine inequalities involving primes. Our results in [8] include, as particular cases, the well-known Vinogradov’s three prime theorem and Linnik’s theorem on the least prime in an arithmetic progression.
