Dynamic Aspects of Intermolecular Interactionsroperties, e.g. the boiling point, or a chemical equilibrium constant, may inform us about the energies of interaction states. Quantities that do not include the time scale explicitly in their dimensional definition, however, cannot tell us anything about the molecular mechanism of the transitions, which are essentially processes evolving in time.
