Alpha-Interferon Alone or in Combination with Chemotherapy in the Treatment of Malignant Melanoma, Recombinant alpha-interferon has shown antitumour activity in renal cell carcinoma and malignant melanoma, both of which are very resistant to conventional cytotoxic treatment. It is likely that in the future recombinant interferons will be used in combination with cytotoxic chemotherapy in the treatment of these two tumour types.
