Mutants and Transgenics — a Comparison of Barley Resources in Crop BreedingBarley is the most cultivated crop in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland. Globally, barley is the most cultivated cereal and the forth most important cereal crop (after wheat, maize and rice) and is grown on 70 Mha with an annual yield of 160 Mt. Today, barley grain is mostly used as animal feed and malt and, to a lesser extent, in human food.

Decision Making in Identification of Random Fields,A mathematical model for identification of the stationary random field is presented. Some multiobjective cases of the identification process are considered and possible procedures for aiding the multicriteria decision making are suggested. Remarks related to the application as well as to possible extension of presented methods are included.
