A Novel Unconstrained Correlation Filter and Its Application in Face Recognition, unseen patterns by removing the hard constraints on the outputs during the filter design. Experimental results on the popular FERET, FRGC and CAS-PEAL R1 face databases show the effectiveness of the proposed unconstrained correlation filter.

A Novel Inductive Semi-supervised SVM with Graph-Based Self-training,f-labeled examples are used to enlarge the labeled training set. Experiments show that, the improved self-training is beneficial and the proposed IS3VM algorithm can effectively exploit unlabeled data to achieve better performance, and is comparable to the-state-of-the-art semi-supervised SVM.

Facial Expressions Analysis Based on Cooperative Neuro-computing Interactions,tant model is potentially capable of constructing high-quality clusters and achieving high efficiency of the convergence. It is suggested that the model with cooperative neuro-computing interaction has the characteristics to construct the cluster distribution rapidly, and can perform real-time analysis efficiently and accurately.

A Novel Moving Cast Shadow Detection of Vehicles in Traffic Scene,Experimental results on several databases indicate that our approach not only achieves both high shadow detection and discrimination rates but takes on better performance than some state-of-the-art methods.

Head Pose Estimation via Background Removal,background of each image, the face region will be re-cropped. By this way, the background can be reduced greatly. The proposed method is evaluated on three datasets, MultiPIE, CAS-PEAL and our own database Multi-Pose. The promising results show that our method can improve the performance of head pose estimation significantly.
