Instabilities Due to Convection and Rotations..The instabilities due to rotation are briefly reviewed. Some of them are likely to generate a mild turbulence, whose nature and efficiency are still a matter of conjecture. In early-type stars, this turbulence may mix the radiative envelope to some extent, and it may also deliver mechanical energy to their outer layers.

Massive Stars in Nearby Galaxiesnance lines have very low outflow velocities compared to galactic stars, and no P Cygni profiles, suggesting that there may be significant differences in mass loss mechanisms among Local Group galaxies, as a consequence of different metal1icities. The UV interstellar extinction in both galaxies appears like the LMC and not like the Galaxy.
