By exploring an extremehuman experience, childhood sexual abuse, the present study allows aninsight into a hidden, silenced, and destructive aspect of humanrelations. It is the first of its kind to make comprehensible both thegeneral path from violation to sickness, and the particular logic ofassault embodiment. .Due to its theoretical and methodological framework, the present studyprovides evidence that the embodiment of sexual violation experienceis informed by situated logic and rationality. These, however, do notcorrespond to scientific logic and rationality. The universe ofsocio-culturally constituted meaning and that of scientificallyconstructed knowledge are shown to be incompatible. Subjectivelyinformed violation embodiment is likely to be misinterpreted andconsequently maltreated within the objectively grounded framework ofcurrent biomedical praxis. .Consequently, victims of silenced sexual violence are revictimized bymedicine. | | 出版日期 | Book 2001 | | 關(guān)鍵詞 | aspect; experience; health; interpret; knowledge; logic; medicine; nature; present; rationality; subject; viole | | 版次 | 1 | | doi | https://doi.org/10.1007/978-94-017-1886-8 | | isbn_softcover | 978-90-481-5718-1 | | isbn_ebook | 978-94-017-1886-8 | | copyright | Springer Science+Business Media Dordrecht 2001 |
