Ecological Capacity Evaluation,y analysis and the ecological footprint are systematically recalled. Secondly, the system dynamic model based on the ecological footprint is developed to predict the carrying capacity in a region. Finally, two cases are proposed to illustrate the ecological changes in the dual heritage area and modern garden city, respectively.
