Memory Refresh, a very burdensome process. Thanks to some super engineering, in most technologies, the overheads of refresh are fairly small. But the refresh overhead is projected to grow as cells continue to shrink. In anticipation of this high overhead refresh, a number of alleviating techniques have been proposed, which we will discuss in this chapter.
