Inhibitors Interferring at the Precursor Level or with Regulatory Processes of Nucleic Acid Synthes instead of adenosine, is also of interest because of certain structural peculiarities. Unlike adenosine formycin can adapt two conformations, syn and anti, which hinders base-pairing between complementary nucleosides in helical nucleic acids.
