Developing home-school links: Implications for learners, learning, and learning support should be considered and integrated into successful models of home-school practice. The paper will show that learning expectations shift when home-school links are successful, but that learners in the traditional sense are not then necessarily learners in the same.

Exquisite complexityand cultural values. As the School of the Future is planned attention must be paid to the powerful influences exerted by those values. Sharing plans, examining practices, and discussing policies within and across communities will be important as School of the Future advocates begin their reform efforts.
