A Vocabulary Revision Method Based on Modality Splittinghat the considered modalities induce an indistinguishability relation in adequacy with the underlying data structure. This paper proposes a method to identify and split too general modalities so as to finally obtain a more appropriate vocabulary wrt. the data structure.

Dealing with Aggregate Queries in an Uncertain Database Model Based on Possibilistic Certaintylify the certainty that an ill-known piece of data takes a given value or belongs to a given subset. Two facets of the problem are considered, that correspond to: i) the nature of the data (certain or uncertain), and ii) the nature of the query (crisp or fuzzy) that specifies the relation over which the aggregate has to be computed.
