Facial Expression Recognition by Sparse Reconstruction with Robust Features. Results indicate that sparse reconstruction with .. penalty outperforms SVM and .-NN baselines with the tested features. The best accuracy (97%) was obtained using sparse reconstruction in an unsupervised setting.

On Solving the Small Sample Size Problem for Marginal Fisher Analysis introduces an implicit distance diffusion mapping. The experiments are conducted on four face data sets. These experiments demonstrate that the introduced schemes can enhance the performance of the MFA framework much better than the widely used PCA based regularization.

Therefore this method has can potentially save substantial cost and time in tyre development. This investigation is based on data provided by Continental Reifen Deutschland GmbH.
