Inflatable Triangulated Cylinders,alled, soft aluminium tube as a triangulated cylinder gives a simple, efficient rigidizable inflatable tube. A major advantage of inflatable triangulated cylinders is that deployment is controlled, while the in-plane deformation for the tube wall remains small. The results of simple tests show the concept to be viable.

Folding Tensegrity Systems,y folding operations on these systems. Some of them are described in the first part of this communication. The second part is devoted to a folding tensegrity based on an elementary module comprising six struts and on assemblies of these modules.

Wing Folding in Insects: A Natural, Deployable Structure,d wings by leathery or firm forewings, like earwigs (Dermaptera) and beetles (Coleoptera) do. However, the hind wings have to be much larger than the forewings in order to preserve flight capability. Consequently the hind wings need to be folded under the forewings.

,Florín System,When our wandering ancestors made tents, they strived for two essential qualities: light weight and the ability to be folded and unfolded quickly. They used the materials at hand and reached their partial solutions slowly, by trial and error.
