Segregation Mechanisms in Condensed Granular Flowhese studies also give a framework for interpreting behaviour in fundamental terms, both for research and for industrial application. These furthermore give a goal for those developing theoretical and computer-based models.

Microgravity Segregation in Collisional Granular Shearing Flowstion and the corresponding velocity statistics were captured by a high-speed video camera and analyzed using computer vision software. The resulting profiles of particle mean and fluctuation velocities were compared with computer simulations of the entire experimental apparatus.
