ANALYSIS OF METAL MATRIX COMPOSITES DAMAGE UNDER TRANSVERSE LOADING,This work deals with static response of metal matrix composites reinforced with continuous fibers. Damage evolution in the case of transverse static loading is considered. Numerical results concerning strain localization, effective constitutive relation and yield strength are presented.
