Predicting Laminar-Turbulent Transition Influenced by Surface-Induced Flow Distortionsture gradual changes to transition for realistic surface irregularities. This predictive framework is then used to characterize the different mechanisms and flow regimes responsible for boundary-layer transition in the presence of surface steps and gaps.

40 Years of Transition Research at NASA: A Personal Perspectiveental research conducted at NASA, the understanding of transition mechanisms was greatly enhanced and prediction tools developed for across the speed regime.
