Risk Management for the Mengkuang Dam Upgrading and Enlargement Project,ng in the project has resulted in cost saving of over RM 150 million. The framework of the risk management plan and process involved in risk identification, risk assessment, mitigating measure options evaluation, risk control and the issues resolved are described.

The Geophysical Risk Matrix: An Innovative Risk Analysis Tools for Earth-Rock Dam Failures Inspectiphysical criteria of sub processes and an index of dam condition were initiated. Among those, the overlapping of anomalies plotted on risk matrix of dam play important role in the evaluating stage. The innovation is currently be applied to several old dams in responsible of the Royal Irrigation Department.

Conference proceedings 2020ovided a platform for researchers and professionals to exchange ideas and to address dam safety and engineering issues with the environment in mind. Optimizing Reservoir Operation Under Changing Climate: A Case Study of Murum-Bakun Hydro Cascade inity to both hydro plants is also increasing in future providing water security to these plants. The Murum HEP and Bakun HEP would expect higher increase in hydropower production under RCP8.5 compared to RCP4.5. The Murum HEP and Bakun HEP are expected to have 12% and 7% increases in future hydro energy production, respectively under RCP8.5.
