A Tower-Top Point Focus Solar Energy Collectorats constructed of flat mirrors. In order that the redirected solar radiation from a square mile be intercepted, a central receiver must be elevated well above the mirror field on a tower of about 450 meters height. A square mile collector would produce heat at a peak rate of 500 MWT in the winter and 700 MWT in the summer.
