Effect of Artificial Haptic Characteristics on Virtual Reality Performancebodiment. We find that the duration observed between an event and the root-mean-square electromyogram amplitude dropping to a local minimum, within two seconds, could be a measure for evaluating the quality of VR systems from the point of view of user performance.

AR Cooking: Comparing Display Methods for the Instructions of Cookwares on AR Gogglesld be completed, we found that the most efficient display method for the instruction of cookwares on AR goggles is 3D animation. We investigated how participants felt about cooking using AR goggles based on participant’s comments. We believe that our contribution can be useful for the design of AR-based application.

Sharing Augmented Reality Experience Between HMD and Non-HMD Usershopping. We share the experience between HMD user and non-HMD user to illustrate the concept of our approach, where the HMD user can interact with a virtual product when shopping online to get a better sense of the real product, and where the non-HMD user can have a similar AR experience through smartphones.

Rendering of Virtual Walking Sensation by a Vestibular Display the speed and acceleration of the motion trajectory for the stair walking presentation. This finding suggested that a smaller amount of return motion compared with forward (first half) motion in a reciprocal motion for each step was appropriate for inducing the sensation of walking up/down stairs.
