The Culture, Characterization and Triggering of B-Lymphocytes,ng-term culture requires the establishment of an adherent layer of feeder BM stromal cells, use of combinations of growth factors (i.e. CD40L + IL-4), or immortalization (i.e. EBV transformation). Currently, the efficiency of cloning stably transfected normal B-lymphocytes is optimally achieved by using feeder cell layers.
