Properties of Rat Testicular Androgen Binding Proteins,e testosterone (2, 3, 4), presumably in Leydig cells, while FSH has been implicated in the maintenance of the germinal epithelium and in the later stages of spermiogenesis (1). In addition, testosterone (or a metabolite thereof) appears to have a direct role in spermatogenesis (1).
