Experimental Simulation of a Laser Lightning-Protection SystemThe problem of protection of terrestrial objects against lightning has not been solved satisfactorily so far. Lightning strikes on industrial objects like petrochemical complexes, nuclear power plants, ultrahigh voltage transmission lines and substations, rocket-launching devices, etc., may turn out to be extremely hazardous.
