HTS Applications: Present and Future Prospects, and still set numerous technical difficult problems. The HTS are ceramic materials, a major obstacle to make wires. A new technology takes always time to develop and to come to market. Moreover, most of the time, HTS applications compete with conventional devices, which are already very efficient.

Applications of High-Tc Superconductors to Superconducting Magnetic Energy Storage (SMES),ctice for diurnal electric energy storage. After their proposal, many researches have been carried out not only on conceptual design [3, 4] but also on development of components. Some of them were proposed to be installed as practical use [5, 6]. The recent plan is a small scale SMES to be installed for a power compensation in Florida [7].

Levitation Applications of High-Temperature Superconductors,that holds liquid nitrogen, a common PM, and an HTS that can be fabricated in most ceramic kilns. At the same time, the image elicits a sense of awe and mystery, invoked by an object stably suspended by some invisible mechanism.
