Some Recent Applications of Pressure Tuning Spectroscopy,to changes of molecular conformation..The second set of examples involve ZnS phosphors with various dopants. We establish the characteristics of the donor and acceptor states via photoluminescence, and the trap characteristics by means of thermoluminescence. We treat very briefly thermoluminescence in crystalline coronene.

Applications of Diamond-Anvil Cells to Materials Science, use of high pressure in the range up to 10GPa. The pressure range up to 100GPa is widely used and examples are discussed from geophysics and fundamental condensed matter physics. The multi-megabar region (over 100GPa) is still difficult and some of the problems in working at these pressures are reviewed.

Neutron and X-Ray Scattering of Fluids at High Pressure and High Temperature,sures of several hundred to thousand bars. For example, these techniques allow to determine the structural and dynamical properties of liquid metals, such as liquid cesium and mercury, and liquid semiconductors, such as liquid selenium and sulphur, from the melting point up to their liquid-vapour critical point.

Molecular Dynamics Simulation of Dense Cyclohexane in Porous Silica,tional diffusion and reorientational motion of molecules in the pores are much slower than in the bulk phase. The liquid-plastic phase transition of cyclohexane in the pores is shifted toward higher pressures and depends on the pore size.
