Performance and Portability in Parallel Computing: A Weather Forecast View,pographic model (WPT), a finite difference approximation weather prediction model. We present a qualitative study of the performance of the code on various multiprocessors and evaluate the effectiveness of NNT.

Experiences with Parallel Programming in Meteorology,, St Augustin, Germany, who did the major part of actually programming the parallel version of IFS available at that time. Last but not least funding by the European Commission (Project Nr. 6643 — PPPE) has to be acknowledged.
