A Comparative Study of Soft Real-Time Transaction Scheduling Policies in Parallel Database Systemserformance as real-time transactions will have to meet deadlines. Techniques for improving the serial and parallel efficiency of such codes is described, and the use of software tools to aid the process are illustrated.
