Percolation Approach to the Quantum Hall Effectsimple manner a number of other experimental features of the QHE and relate them to a specific model of electronic states in the presence of disorder in the sample. In this work I shall review the basic picture, following refs. [3,4] as well as some unpublished work, mostly done in collaboration with R. F. Kazarinov.

Localization in Landau Levels of 2D Systems and the Quantum Hall Effectcept those just at the center of the Landau level in sufficiently strong magnetic fields. The energy of extended states is shifted to the higher energy side with decreasing magnetic field. There is a scaling relation between the diagonal and off-diagonal components of the conductivity tensor.
