Current Status of the Registration of Familial Adenomatous Polyposis at the Polyposis Center in Japa4475 persons at risk as carrier of the FAP gene. The frequency of cancer was less in the call-up cases (21%) than the proband cases (60%). Periampullary carcinoma and desmoid tumor were the two most serious extra colonic malignancies. We need to pay attention to the bile duct and to development of desmoid tumor after colo-rectal operation.
