Equilibrium theory of spin glasses: Mean-field theory and beyond,In this paper a new technique is analyzed to solve certain mean-field models, with particular emphasis on the spin-glass case. We also present an extended Gibbs formalism which is based on the observation that every equilibrium state can be decomposed uniquely into its ergodic components, and apply it to spin-glasses.
