Vibrotactile Frequency Discrimination Performance with Cross-Channel Distractorsnset of the distractor was prior to that of the target stimulus. Our results indicate the possibility that the brain uses temporal synchrony between stimuli as a strong cue to associate multiple stimuli as a single event.

Haptic Shape Constancy Across Distancefrom visual object constancy. The other group of observers demonstrate the reverse pattern of response such that objects further away need to have lower curvature to be perceived having equal curvature. We suggest that perceived haptic curvature across distance depends on observers’ differential weighting of the multiple available cues.

Delayed Haptic Feedback to Gaze Gesturesback. In practical systems the processing and transmission of signals takes some time, and the feedback may be delayed. We conducted an experiment to determine limits on the feedback delays. The results show that when the delays increase to 200 ms or longer the task completion times are significantly longer than with shorter delays.
