For early-stage lung cancers, stage I and II, surgery remains the preferred treatment and provides the best opportunity for curative intent. Surgical indications also extend to a portion of patients with stage IIIA disease (Lang-Lazdunski 2013) but this will not be discussed in this chapter.

Hyunsoo Kim,Wonjung Park,Taeyun Woo,Jinah Parkon framework can be executed on an average laptop using a web camera with any robotic arm that has a ROS interface. We verified its performance in real-world experiments with a Kinova Jaco robotic arm, demonstrating the ability to grasp and move an object in the environment.
