In spite of a vast amount of literature on the subject the complex process of hybridization on solid support is still poorly understood. For this reasons many conditions used in this protocol have been determined empirically.

Therefore, it would be unrealistic to hope to present an exhaustive list of all possible problems, causes and solutions. Nevertheless, I present here the most common ones found by beginners.
