描述Mathematics has always played a key role for researches in fluid mechanics. The purpose of this handbook is to give an overview of items that are key to handling problems in fluid mechanics. Since the field of fluid mechanics is huge, it is almost impossible to cover many topics. In this handbook, we focus on mathematical analysis on viscous Newtonian fluid. The first part is devoted to mathematical analysis on incompressible fluids while part 2 is devoted to compressible fluids.

Stable Self-Similar Profiles for Two 1D Models of the 3D Axisymmetric Euler Equationsular solutions for both models through a dynamic rescaling formulation. We demonstrate the stability of the self-similar profiles by analyzing their discretized dynamics using linearization, and it is hoped that these computations can help to understand the potential singularity formation mechanism of the 3D Euler equations.

Critical Function Spaces for the Well-Posedness of the Navier-Stokes Initial Value Problemples of arbitrarily large initial data giving rise to a global solution are also provided, as well as a study of the long-time behavior of global solutions and their behavior at blow-up time (supposing such a time exists).
